Premier League clubs are expected to vote on dates of this summer’s transfer window during a conference call on Thursday.
Clubs are set to agree the length of window during the division’s latest shareholder meeting.
Under FIFA regulations, associations may have up to sixteen weeks for two registration windows.
The first registration period, traditionally a summer window, must not exceed 12 weeks.
The transfer window in England opened for one day on July 1, after the FA received dispensation from FIFA.
